ArtHaus Visual Arts Studio offers art classes in Midlothian

(information taken from ArtHaus's press release)

ArtHaus Visual Arts Studio is proud to announce its official opening at 1811 Huguenot Road, Suite 304. “This has been a lifetime journey for me….to open an art studio. I am so excited to be able to offer museum quality art classes right here in Midlothian.” says Meg Foster, owner and operator of ArtHaus Visual Arts Studio. After teaching preschool and after school art enrichment classes out of her minivan for the last 3 years, Meg is excited to have a place to rest her paint brush. However, there is little room for rest at ArtHaus now. An Open House is schedule for Thursday, September 9th from 5-9pm. The public is welcome. Registration for the fall art classes is currently open. Classes will begin the week of September 13.

Meg Foster is the former Robious Elementary art teacher in Chesterfield County. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from VCU and is certified in art education. Her specialty is working with children of all ages. And it is something she does well. This summer Meg enriched the lives of over 100 local children with art camps held at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. This fall ArtHaus is offering over 25 classes and that number keeps growing.

The studio, off Huguenot Road, has four classrooms, in which ArtHaus plans to have a variety of offerings. “Now that we have our new space, I’m excited to be able to offer not just for preschoolers and kids; but now we have classes for teenagers and adults.” says Meg Foster.

ArtHaus is thrilled to add Robert Caldwell to our faculty. Robert is nationally renowned for his wildlife and architectural oil painting. ArtHaus is very fortunate to have his expertise for its Teen and Adult Painting and Drawing classes.

The studio is equally excited to have Karen Pellis join its faculty. Karen has a fine arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, and specializes in both ceramics and painting. She and her family recently moved to Midlothian from San Francisco. She will be heading up the Visual Art Studio’s ceramics classes.

Class schedules and other information is available on ArtHaus’ website: www:arthauskids.com. The studio can also be reached at 897-4ART.
