"DETOUR" opening this Friday

DETOUR: First Annual Summer Art Show
Opening Reception: 4th Friday
Friday, July 23 / 7:00pm-10:00pm
921 Hull St. (between 9th & 10th Streets)

*Featuring new works by the UR Fellowship Candidates + 2 recent grads from UR and VCU + 1 VCU student

Come for drinks and live music with DJ Tape2!

DETOUR brings together six awardees of The University of Richmond Summer Arts Fellowships and three additional local emerging artists in a two-day exhibition of their most recent works. In the sticky, hot haze that is Richmond summer, these artists rely on their creative outlets to detour from a road of stagnant contentment. With this combination of hard heat conditioning and desperate release, DETOUR presents an eclectic mix of 2-D and 3-D media that offers a new visual direction for the weary eye.

Amy Mathis
Amy Nicholas
Bertrand Morin
David Newman
Eliza Morse
Irena Stanisic
Kate Houck
Rudolph Jackson (Jack Morris)
Sean McGhee
