First Friday Tomorrow Night- May 7th



The First Fridays website has been updated with exhibition info for tomorrow night's First Friday, and there's a new map of First Friday's venues here.

Also, Christina Newton of Curated Culture/First Fridays has compiled a list of additional events happening during tomorrow's First Friday (music and more) for Richmond.com here.

AND there are even more arts exhibitions with openings or receptions tomorrow night, slightly outside the realm of where you might usually spend your First Friday, but definitely worth a couple of drives around the city...

Page Bond's opening reception for Philip Engelhorn's "Unbound" and Peri Schwartz's "Reflections"- this Friday at 7 PM (Preview reception tonight from 6-8 PM )

Openings at Reynolds Gallery for Ledelle Moe and Richard Roth- this Friday from 7-9 PM

"FORUM" at 1708- this Saturday, March 6th, 5:30-7:30 PM:

The FORUM, is an invitational outreach program organized by 1708 Gallery for art students from Virginia's colleges and universities. Students are nominated by their departments and invited to present their most recent work for critique by their peers and the community. The students also get a chance to participate in an exhibition hosted by Capital One.

This year's guest critic is Paul Ryan, Professor of Art, Mary Baldwin College and Contributing Editor of Art Papers Magazine. Students from Virginia State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Mary Washington, George Mason University, and James Madison University will be presenting their work.

Pics from "Cold Press" at Page Bond- Also "Love Text" and "Night Light" opening this Friday


"Cold Press" will be on view until Feb. 27th. In addition, "Love Text" and "Nightlight" will open this Friday from 7-9 PM with a reception for the artists.

*Opening has been moved to Fri. Feb. 12th, due to inclement weather.
