Second Friday Sampler and openings for Visart's "Mourning Portrait" and GCCR's "Equality VA Exhibition"

Second Friday Sampler at Visarts:

Clay Glazing Workshop: Majolica!
Express yourself and paint a tile using majolica glaze on earthenware. The design of your choice can be painted on the freshly glazed tile and you can pick it up the following Friday!

Shrinky Dinks!
You may remember these from when you were a kid, but shrinky dinks are back and way more fun as a grown up! Using colored pencils, old magazines and a photocopier, we’ll create our own images, shrink them, and turn them into handmade pendants!

Loren Schwerd's "Mourning Portait" also opens tonight at Visarts from 6-8 pm.
The artist will give a talk about her work tomorrow (April 10th) at 1 pm.

Equality VA art show at GCCR opens tonight from 6-8 PM

Join Equality Virginia on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Gay Community Center of Richmond’s GCCR Gallery for the opening reception and artist award announcements for their 2010 Art Show and Benefit.
